It turns out that autism corresponds to a weak connection between parts of the brain (not the two halves but the wiring of all neurons as a whole), so that they don't communicate as well as they should, to function normally. One of the collateral problems, is forgetfulness or sub-optimal social skills. A remedy or at least a coping mechanism, is putting reminders, such as business-cards, on the wall. Suppose these different parts of the brain contain representations of objects and aspects of objects out in the real world. Then it is necessary to recognize objects as the same, when they are observed from different perspectives, or interpreted by selecting different aspects. How is that possible? That can be done by a special region where the objects and their aspects are kept, before they are represented in different parts. That would cause a change in one represented object or aspect in one part, to change all representations in all parts! And when aspects of objects are related to other aspects of other objects, that would enable the person to get a completely clear picture, when the representation finally fits. This would closely match a definition of intelligence or rather, of intuition. Needless to say I point this out because it matches exactly how PMM works. The parts of the brain are Sheets, objects and aspects thereof are Notes, related aspects Relations and the clear picture their overlap, reuse and applied finishing touches!

PMM and Autism
